You will be eligible for one of our vehicles once you pass the criteria needed.
What criteria do you require?
Minimum age 21. Held valid, full UK driving licence for at least 2+ years (Photo-card and Paper Counterpart required). Appropriate taxi badge licence. Recent bill confirming your home address which must not be dated older than 3 months.
Do your vehicles have mileage restrictions?
Unlike other vehicle rental companies Cab Help do NOT restrict your mileage (unless a particular independent taxi rentals partner states otherwise).
Are vehicles fitted with taxi meters?
Yes, they are already pre-fitted in all vehicles in the network, however you are responsible for its correct calibration to correspond with the council rates or private hire company rates where you work.
Is insurance included?
Yes! Cab Help takes care of all paperwork which includes insurance, road tax, council licensing, mechanical and servicing maintenance. Convenient and super simple.
Can I use the vehicle for other purposes?
Yes! Unlike other vehicle rental companies Cab Help allows you to use the vehicle for social driving and commuting, providing the vehicle is well looked after.
Do you supply vehicles in order for me to become a local taxi rentals partner?
No. We also do not supply vehicles to network partners to rent out on our behalf. You must own or operate your own business. However, we supply plated vehicles to leading insurance companies.
Who fits the data and radio equipment?
If you wish to work for a Private Hire company, you will need to ask the company to fit the data equipment. We can supply you with documentation which may be required.
How much does it cost?
This depends on your location and vehicle type. All rental costs are advertised on each vehicle listing.
The minimum rental period is oneweek Monday - Sunday.
Can I rent for weekend only?
Unfortunately, we do not currently offer "weekend only" rental agreements. A very acceptable one week minimum rental period is provided.
